Frank Allen was a gentle soul a gentleman.

His life was one of hardship and struggle but dedicated to art.

Art was his saviour.

He was never able to hold down a steady job due to his injuries sustained serving his country. But he never complained, he was stoically determined to experiment with paint. This was a life long passion.

Some years were more productive than others but to his dying day he was drawing in his sketchbook. He was remarkably conscientious and driven. Despite all that he went through, he never gave up.
